The day was perfect:warm and slight breeze(The Holy Spirit). We had fun setting up for the event, but at the end of the day it was exhausting,
but it was worth seeing everyone enjoying themselves. There was popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, hot dogs, cold drinks,
gifts for the kids, and food give away: It was all free.
My hat is off to Pastor Gary for putting together this event and I want to applaud all the volunteers who made this event possible.
We had over 300 people who came to the event, everyone had smiles and getting along with everyone else;Pastor Frank did not have to enforce the law.
The highlight of the event was when 12 people decides to get baptized. In the entire event you could feel the presence of the Lord among the crowd.
You won't find many churches that actually preach about going out of these four wall to save, but Higher Ground definately does. They have done food give aways in other
towns and toy give aways during Christmas. They do what they preach.
The media was invited to come to Hope Day and see what how God is extending his hand to help those who need Jesus, but instead they televised Middletown's
event. I guess to them showing trasvestites, gays, and lesbians were more interesting then comming to see how Jesus works. That's why God uses us as a foot stool.
I have some pictures that I took down below and you can see more great photos, by scrollng down and see clicking on Facebook.
See you all next year.
